This is the Story of
the Wreck and the Sinking of the
Titanic
From the Men
who were there
|
Nearly a century ago, the great American-owned steamship Titanic,
sank on it's maiden voyage from England to America. With severe
damage, insufficient lifeboats, and no help on the horizon,
the great ship sank in a matter of hours taking well more than half
of the 2,200 people to the bottom. Only rescue in the early morning
hours saved the survivors.
Thomas Andrews
Shipbuilder of the Titanic

biography of the famous architect from childhood until his last
moments -- on the deck of the sinking Titanic. Read the testament to
his life, view the ironworks where three gigantic ships were
created, and discover Andrews' last heroic act. This is a reproduction issue from 1912.
