Memoir of Robert M. Wada

This is the Story of
a US Marine

Who went from a WWII internment camp to combat in the Korean War.

From the book:

After witnessing numerous unsuccessful assaults, we had completed our mission and we were walking down the backside of the hill to the jeep and headed to battalion headquarters. As we drove down the road, I saw columns of 1st Regiment Marines sitting on each side of the road taking a short break before they were to replace the 7th Regiment and resume the assault on Hill 749 before dawn.
